Children's Harbor is a non-profit organization in Alabama existing to provide free resources and rejuvenation for families with seriously or terminally ill children.
They came to us at Luckie & Co. to create a new identity. As the designer, I wanted to create an uplifting and serene brand experience. The use of bright watercolors represents not only a beautiful childhood pastime, but also the theme of a safe harbor of water.
In the logotype, the image of the lighthouse appears as a beacon of light, as these families face incredibly difficult situations. Stock photography was chosen to evoke positivity and happiness, which was the organization's greatest desire to make possible in these families once again. I also created a custom font that could be used throughout the brand materials.
Designer, Type Designer
I created a custom typeface for
the project which would allow Children's Harbor to make headlines and advertising materials with a cohesive,

your teeth will be easier, but you've got to do it."
